The Toastmasters International Convention is always an exciting and fun event. We have the opportunity to attend it virtually again this year. Here are the top highlights we’re excited about:
- Different education tracks – Each year the convention offers a varied schedule of educational sessions, but this year members can choose which sessions to attend based on a “track.” The options are: Public Speaking/Stage Presence, Leadership/Professional Development, Self Improvement, and Dynamic Communication.
- World Championship of Public Speaking – This is the big show of any convention, and members can enjoy all of the excitement from the comfort of their own homes. Semifinals will be on August 24th and the finals on August 28th. Why not plan a watch party with your club or in conjunction with some other clubs.
- Annual Business Meeting – This is the event where votes are cast for International leadership positions and any other business for TI. All members are invited to attend, but only proxy holders are allowed to cast votes. Proxies can be assigned to the District Director no later than August 15th.
- Sing-along – On August 26th there will be a continuation of this beloved convention tradition. Members from all over the world will join host Ted Corcoran, DTM in an old fashioned sing-along.
