Will you step into leadership in the new Toastmasters year?
This is an exciting time of year for all of us. The holidays are upon us, the end of 2021 is quickly approaching, and we’re filled with all of the hope and anticipation of a brighter future.
The Toastmasters new year may seem like it’s a long way off (it doesn’t happen until July 1, 2021), but we have lots to do between now and then, including our Annual Conference. Do you know what happens at the Annual Conference? We choose the new leaders for the coming year. The Annual Conference happens at the end of April, just a few short months away.
What new leaders are we looking for? All District Leadership positions are open, including Area Director, Division Director, Club Growth Director, Program Quality Director and District Director, District Public Relations Manager, District Admin Manager and District Finance Manager.
Why would you want to volunteer for one of these positions? By filling any one of these positions, you would:
- Develop new leadership skills that are applicable to your life outside of Toastmasters.
- Learn more about how Toastmasters works outside of your club experience.
- Meet new people.
- Challenge yourself to do more, learn more, be more.

The District Leadership Committee will review all applications for leadership positions.
The Application Process is now open! The deadline to submit your application is Sunday, January 31, 2021 at midnight.
If you are interested in (and maybe even a little frightened at the prospect of) a leadership position and need more information about what the responsibilities are, please email me (Ginny Grabowski, your immediate past District Director), or contact the person who currently holds the position you are interested in applying for.
To apply for a position, please complete the following documents and email them to Ginny Grabowski.
It’s never too early to apply.
Here’s how the process works:
Complete and submit the following forms by email to Ginny Grabowski:
- District Leader Nominating Form (you can nominate yourself).
- District Leader Agreement and Release Statement
- District Leader Biographical Information Form
Once all the completed forms have been received, the Committee and I will review them and schedule interviews with you. Following the interviews, the Committee meets and determines if you will be a nominee for the position. Qualified candidates are notified and a list of qualified candidates is submitted to the District Director at least 6 weeks prior to the District Council Meeting (which happens during the Annual Conference). The District Council votes for new leaders at the District Council meeting.
We have created some amazing leaders throughout the years in District 32.
Will you be next to step into leadership? Remember, we never lead alone. For each person in a leadership position, there is a team of leaders supporting, encouraging and cheering them on.
I can’t wait to see your application in my email inbox.
Reminder, the application process is now open and the deadline to apply is January 31.
