Congratulations to the newly elected leadership team for the 2020-2021 Toastmasters Year!

On Saturday, May 2, we held our District Council Meeting (also known as our Business Meeting).

All Presidents and VPEs of all clubs were invited as voting members.

Area and Division Directors and the Top Six (District Director, Program Quality Director, Club Growth Director, District Finance Manager, District Admin Manager and District Public Relations Manager) also attend as voting members.

All members of District 32 are welcome to attend the meeting.

We had almost 100 members of District 32 attend the meeting, along with Sondra Nunez, our Region Advisor and Richard Peck, Toastmasters International International President-Elect.

During the meeting, we voted for new District-level officers and we voted to approve the New Club Alignment. If you’re curious what happened and how District-level meetings work, you can click here to view the recording of the meeting. To see the new District Alignment (and see if where you club “lives”) click here. We will be filling in Area Director info soon.

So, who are our new leaders? I’m so glad you asked.

Congratulations to:

  • District Director: Carolyn Curley, DTM
  • Program Quality Director: Stephanie Lee, DTM
  • Club Growth Director: Roberta Craig, DTM
  • Division A Director: Bob Hays, DTM
  • Division B Director: Adrienne Cappa, VC2
  • Division C Director: Jaymes O’Pheron, MS3
  • Division D Director: Roxanne Strutz, DTM
  • Division E Director: Melissa Jean, DL4
  • Division F Director: Kirsten Lein, ACS, ALB

They will be taking on their new roles, officially on July 1, 2020. In the meantime, don’t be surprised if you start hearing more from them as they prep for their new roles.

And remember, it’s not time for YOU to be holding elections in your own club. In a perfect world, we all held Club Officer elections in our clubs in the first week of May. I know my club didn’t and we’re holding them this week. How about your club? Remember to hold the elections and log the info into

Please join me in congratulating and supporting our newly elected leaders. This year brought us changes we could never have anticipated. I’m sure 2020-2021 will hold its share of unexpected events. I am thrilled to have this team leading us into the future as we finish out 2019-2020 with flash and flair.
